My Journey & Mission
Hi, I am Sam. As a former ACT high school student, I sat where you are sitting now. Through consistent organisation, conceptual debugging, and learning how to address rubrics directly, I graduated as College Dux with a 99.80 ATAR, and received the Canberra Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Physics—my two highest-scoring subjects.
Rather than offering tutoring in every general subject to grow my business, I choose to focus exclusively on Maths and Physics. I believe that by specialising, I can remain the best of the best and deliver the absolute highest quality support to my students, helping them clarify complex mathematics, master rigorous physics equations, and ace exams.
I believe tutoring is about more than just teaching content. Many students think they understand a topic well but struggle to apply knowledge during exams. No matter how fast you race through topics, your knowledge can easily collapse like a tall building without a solid foundation, causing more harm than good. I prioritise the depth and quality of your understanding over speed. We take the time to patiently build a strong foundation on the whys—why concepts, formulas, and principles work—before applying them to questions. It might take more time and be brain-draining at first, but when paired with practice, it properly sets you up for the explosive academic growth in the future.
Long-Lasting Habits
Outstanding marks are built on consistent habits, but you can only build a long-lasting habit if you actually enjoy the journey. Discipline can be helpful, but let’s be honest, it might only last a few hours or days—it isn’t always there. I have been there too; I really get it. When I started truly enjoying Maths and Physics, studying didn’t feel like a hassle anymore, but a natural, sustainable part of my every day entertainment. I will try my best to guide you, so that the process of getting good grades fun and rewarding every step of the way.

I use Zoom for our lessons, coupled with an online collaborative whiteboard, giving us the best of both worlds. All you need is:

- Pen/pencil & some paper
- Your attention and a willingness to learn!
It feels as collaborative as sitting in the same room together, but you also get all the flexibility, convenience, and comfort of an online lesson.
